Powder coat and stainless maintenance tips

Powder Coat and Stainless Steel Finishes

At Pacific Outdoor Kitchens, we take pride in the durability and
longevity of our outdoor kitchen products, particularly those with powder coat
and stainless steel finishes. To ensure your investment continues to shine and
withstand the test of time, we recommend the following maintenance guidelines:

For Powder Coat Finishes:

Regular Cleaning: Wipe down the powder-coated surfaces with a soft cloth or sponge using mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive cleaners, as they may cause damage to the finish.

No Harsh Chemicals: Refrain from using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as they can compromise the integrity of the powder coat. Instead, opt for gentle cleaning solutions to preserve the finish.

For Stainless Steel Finishes:

Frequent Cleaning: Clean stainless steel surfaces regularly to prevent the build-up of grime and contaminants. Use a mild, non-abrasive cleaner with warm water and a soft cloth.

Directional Cleaning: Wipe stainless steel surfaces in the direction of the grain to maintain a polished appearance and reduce the risk of scratching.

Protective Coating: Apply a stainless steel cleaner or protectant to enhance resistance to corrosion and maintain the natural luster of the finish.

General Tips:

No Abrasive Materials: Refrain from using abrasive scrubbers, steel wool, or harsh scouring pads, as they can scratch and damage both powder coat and stainless steel surfaces.

Prompt Cleaning: Attend to spills and stains promptly to prevent any potential damage or discoloration to the finishes.

Seasonal Inspection: Conduct periodic inspections to identify any signs of wear or damage, addressing issues promptly to extend the life of your outdoor kitchen.

By following these maintenance guidelines, you'll not only preserve the aesthetic appeal of your Pacific Outdoor Kitchens products but also extend their functional life in any outdoor environment.
